San Diego Motorcyclist Hits Pedestrian in Pacific Beach

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 1, 2022) – Early in the morning on Sunday in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego, a motorcyclist struck and injured a pedestrian. The October 30 crash occurred on Garnet Avenue.

The time was a little before 2:00 a.m., according to Officer Fisher who is with San Diego Police.

Authorities said the pedestrian was walking across Garnet Avenue in the 1100 block, and a motorcycle struck him.

Responders transported the patient to UCSD Hospital. He suffered injuries that were described as life threatening.

He was identified only as 21 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

Responders transported the motorcyclist to Scripps Mercy Hospital. The injuries he suffered were described as minor.

Reports say authorities suspect the motorcyclist of DUI.
