Scooter Rider Injured by Hit-and-run Driver in Linda Vista area of San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 30, 2021) – Early in the afternoon on Monday in San Diego, a hit-and-run driver struck and injured a man on a scooter. The November 29 crash occurred in the area of Linda Vista, on Linda Vista Road in the 6900 block.

The time was roughly 2:30 p.m., San Diego Police said.

The scooter rider had been traveling in the bike lane on the northbound side of the road, reports say. A vehicle–described as a Cadillac sedan, black in color–went towards the right-hand side and hit him.

The driver fled the crash site without helping the victim.

Responders arrived to help the injured man. His injuries included a broken shoulder and nose, and facial cuts.

He was identified only as 38 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect hit-and-run driver. They are currently gathering information and details.
