Playa Del Rey Motorcycle Crash Kills Rider

PLAYA DEL REY, CA (March 23, 2022) – Early in the morning on Monday in Playa Del Rey, a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle killed the rider. The March 21 crash occurred near W. Imperial Highway and Vista Del Mar.

The time was a little before 6:15 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.

Reports do not say how the crash happened, nor the line of travel of each vehicle prior to the collision. The other vehicle involved in the crash has not been described.

Responders pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the crash site. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.

The person who was driving the other vehicle has also not been identified, and it is not known if the person was hurt in the crash.

The driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators who are continuing their work to understand why the crash happened.
