San Diego Motorcycle Crash with Car on Coronado Ave. Kills Rider

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 16, 2022) – Early in the afternoon on Monday in San Diego, a crash involving a motorcycle and a car killed the rider. The August 15 crash occurred on Coronado Avenue in the 2500 block, in the neighborhood of Palm City.
The time was roughly 1:43 p.m., San Diego Police said.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist had been riding on Coronado Avenue and heading east when he struck the back end of the car.
Responders transported the rider to the hospital. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital.
He was identified only as 34 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Reports say the car’s drive was uninjured in the crash. The driver was identified only as 52 years old. The name, gender, and city of residence of the person is not known from reports.
Investigators are continuing to collect details about the crash. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can contact police.
