Suspect in Hit and Run that Killed Motorcyclist Arrested in Corona

Corona, CA – Corona Police Department says they have arrested an 85-year old man who is suspected of a hit-and-run crash that killed a 48-year old Eastvale woman on February 5^th. According to authorities, the suspect was identified as Tashiro Isa, of Corona. Isa was located by the victim’s husband who had been searching and found the suspect’s vehicle in the surrounding areas near the accident site and notified police.

That collision took place on February 5^th when Corona police officers responded to a report of a vehicle vs. motorcycle collision with a victim in the roadway near the intersection of River Road and Klaus Avenue in Corona. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel the next day. The victim was identified as 48-year old Brenda Richardson of Eastvale. Brenda Richardson leaves behind 8 children, as well as a son-in-law and future daughter-in-law.

Brenda’s husband Rod Richardson had been canvassing the area surrounding the accident site searching for the hit-and-run vehicle that killed his wife. Rod Richardson subsequently found the suspect’s vehicle on Friday afternoon in the 900 block of Rebecca Way in Corona and notified police. Corona detectives were able to recover the suspect’s vehicle, a 2006 Lexus ES330, as well as locate the suspect who was home at the time the detectives arrived. Isa was booked on suspicion of hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter, according to the Corona Police Department. Information regarding Tashiro’s bail amount and initial court appearance was not available.
