San Diego Motorcycle Crash in Pacific Beach Injures Rider

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 8, 2022) – Early in the evening on Saturday in San Diego, a motorcycle crash injured a rider. The March 5 crash occurred in Pacific Beach, on Mission Boulevard in the 4100 block.
The time was roughly 6:53 p.m., according to Robert Heims. Heims is an officer with San Diego Police.
The motorcyclist was traveling south on Mission Boulevard, and passed into the intersection when the light was green, reports say. A vehicle–described as a Honda Civic–was traveling on Mission Boulevard and heading north.
The Honda made a turn to the left to Pacific Beach Drive, and the car and the motorcycle collided.
Responders transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. The patient suffered injuries that include a broken leg and pelvis. The patient’s current condition is not known.
The rider was identified only as 31 years old. The person’s name and city of residence are not known from reports.
Reports do not say if the person who was driving the car was hurt. in the crash. The driver’s identity has also not been reported.
Investigators are working to collect information and details about the crash.
