Pasadena Crash involving Car and Police Motorcycle Injures Officer

PASADENA, CA (May 31, 2022) – In the afternoon on Friday in Pasadena, a crash involving a car and a police motorcycle injured an officer. The May 27 crash occurred where Colorado Boulevard and Oak Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 3:15 p.m., according to Lisa Derderian. Derderian is a spokesperson with the city.
A vehicle–described as a Hyundai Sonata–was traveling on Oak Avenue, reports say, and while making a turn to the left to Colorado Boulevard, the car and the police motorcycle collided.
Responders transported the motorcycle officer to a hospital in the area. The officer suffered injuries that were described as serious.
The officer’s identity has not been reported.
The driver’s identity has also not been reported. It is not known from reports if the driver was hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working to collect information to understand why the crash happened.
