Ocean Beach Motorcycle Crash Injures Rider on West Point Loma Blvd.

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 26, 2022) – Early in the evening on Thursday in Ocean Beach, a crash involving a motorcycle and Jeep seriously injured the rider. The August 25 crash occurred where Ebers Street and West Point Loma Boulevard intersect.

The times was roughly 7:00 p.m., San Diego Police said.

Authorities said the motorcyclist had been traveling on West Point Loma Boulevard. A vehicle–described as a Jeep Wrangler–attempted to turn to the left in the intersection at Ebers Street.

The motorcycle and the Jeep collided. The force of the crash threw the rider from the motorcycle, and the rider landed on the Jeep’s hood.

Responders transported the motorcyclist for treatment. He suffered injuries that included a broken ankle. His current condition is not known.

The motorcyclist was identified only as 43 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

The driver has also not been identified. Reports do not say if he was hurt in the crash.
