Luke Pruitt–19 Years old–Killed in Glendora Motorcycle Crash with SUV

GLENDORA, CA (October 6, 2022) – Late in the morning on Tuesday in Glendora, a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV killed the rider. The motorcyclist was later identified as Luke Pruitt, a resident of Claremont, 19 years old.

The October 4 crash occurred where Grand Avenue and Mauna Loa Avenue intersect.

The time was roughly 11:22 a.m., Glendora Police said.

According to authorities, Pruitt had been traveling on a motorcycle on Grand Avenue.

A vehicle–described only as an SUV–executed a U-turn in the intersection, reports say, and the motorcycle and SUV collided.

Responders arrived to help, but Pruitt died at the crash site.

He was a sophomore at Citrus College, and captain of the football team, reports say.

The person who was driving the SUV has not been identified in reports.

Investigators are working on the crash to understand why it happened.
