Motorcycle Crash in Ventura

Ventura, CA – Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office have identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a single vehicle collision that occurred along Highway 33 in Ventura Friday Evening, May 29th.
According to California Highway Patrol, their officers were summoned to respond to a motorcycle collision that occurred sometime around 10:30 P.M. Authorities say that 31 year-old Augustine Lopez- Gonzalez of Oak View had been traveling southbound on Highway 33 in a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle when the rider for reasons unknown traveled off the road near the Main Street exit. The motorcycle had gone through a guardrail that encircled the perimeter of the area resulting in the motorcycle catching fire. Ventura firefighters responded and were able to extinguish the fire that broke out. There is no other information available at this time.
