Motorcyclist Killed in Extensive Two-vehicle Crash in Carlsbad

Carlsbad, CA (October 14, 2018) – A young motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a car in Carlsbad Sunday afternoon, October 14th, Carlsbad police reported in a news release. The crash occurred at about 4:35 p.m. on Carlsbad Boulevard near Cannon Road, police said. Officers and emergency medical responders arrived at the scene to find a motorcycle and a Toyota Tundra with extensive damage, and transported the 21-year-old motorcyclist to the hospital, who unfortunately passed en route.
The unnamed 38-year-old driver of the Toyota remained at the scene, police said. It was unclear if he sustained any injuries from the crash. Officials closed North Carlsbad Boulevard at Cannon Road while investigations and cleanup were underway. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact Carlsbad police at (760) 931-2208.
