Oxnard Bicyclist Struck and Killed near Glacier Ave. and Saviers Road

OXNARD, CA (September 23, 2022) – Early in the evening on Monday in Oxnard, a bicyclist was struck and killed. The September 19 crash occurred in the area of Glacier Avenue and Saviers Road.
The time was roughly a little before 7:40 p.m., Oxnard Police said.
A bicyclist had been riding across Saviers Road and heading west, according to authorities. A vehicle–described as a Ford F-150 pickup truck–that was traveling on Saviers Road and going south, collided with the bicycle.
Responders transported the patient to a hospital. He died in the hospital.
The identity of the person, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The pickup truck’s driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation.
The driver was identified only as a resident of Oxnard, 35 years old. His name is not known from reports.
Investigators are currently working to understand the crash, and why it happened.
