OILDALE, CA (October 7, 2022) – Late at night on Tuesday in Oildale, a motorcycle collided with a car, killing two people. The victims were later identified as Rebecca Hurst Carberry and Thomas David Porter Jr.
The October 4 crash occurred where Bancroft Drive and North Chester Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 11:07 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, nor the line of travel of each vehicle before the collision took place.
The other vehicle involved in the crash has not been described.
Responders pronounced Carberry and Porter deceased at the crash site.
Carberry was a resident of Bakersfield, 55 years old.
Porter was a resident of Bakersfield, 50 years old.
