Electric Scooter Rider Suffers Injures after Truck Accident

San Diego, CA (May 22, 2024) – A 46-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a scooter accident near the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and Fairmont Avenue on Wednesday morning. Also, the incident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. on May 22, as reported by the San Diego Police Department.

The man was riding an electric scooter eastbound on the south sidewalk of El Cajon Boulevard when he entered the intersection against a red light. As a result, a GMC Penske truck traveling southbound on Fairmont Avenue struck the scooter rider.

Truck Driver, 67, Suffers No Injury In Accident With Scooter Rider, 46

The collision resulted in the scooter rider suffering a broken leg. As a result, he was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Also, the driver of the truck, a 67-year-old man, was unharmed in the incident.
