Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Santa Ana

Santa Ana, CA (April 9, 2024) – Tragedy struck late Tuesday evening on Bristol Street in Santa Ana as a man lost his life in a motorcycle accident. The incident, which occurred around 11:00 p.m. at Central Avenue, involved a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle.

Vehicle Was Making A Left Turn When It Struck The Motorcycle

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Bristol Street, nearing Central Avenue, when a vehicle heading south attempted to make an eastbound turn onto Central Avenue, resulting in the collision.

Paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not been released pending notification of his family.

The driver of the vehicle, the sole occupant at the time, remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

Alcohol and Drugs Did Not Seem To Play Apart In The Accident, But An Investigation Continues

Authorities have stated that alcohol or drugs do not seem to have been factors in the crash. However, the exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.
