James B. Miller Dies Two Weeks after Motorcycle Crash in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 4, 2022) – James B. Miller was reported by the Santa Barbara Police Department to have died two weeks after injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash. The December 15 crash occurred where Quarantina Street and East Canon Perdido Street intersect.

The time was roughly 10:00 a.m., according to Santa Barbara Police.

According to authorities, a vehicle–described as a BMW–had been traveling southbound when it entered the intersection. The motorcycle had been traveling east when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

The impact of the crash threw the motorcyclist roughly 50 feet. According to police, the rider’s helmet was dislodged when the crash occurred before the rider fell to the ground.

Responders transported the rider to Cottage Hospital. He died on December 28.

The rider was identified by authorities as James B. Miller, a resident of Santa Barbara, 57 years old.

The driver of the BMW has not been identified in reports.

Investigators are continuing work on the crash.
