Bakersfield Mini-bike Crash Kills Rider on Harris Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 17, 2022) – On Sunday night in Bakersfield, a crash involving a sedan and a mini-bike killed the rider. The March 13 crash occurred on Harris Road in the 9400 block.

According to Bakersfield Police, a man had been riding an off-road mini motorcycle, and the bike did not have proper lighting and was not authorized for street use.

A sedan–which has not been described–struck the mini-bike.

Responders arrived to help, but the rider was killed in the crash. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

The person who was driving the vehicle stayed at the crash site and cooperated with investigators. Her identity has also not been reported.

Reports say she was uninjured in the crash.

Investigators are continuing their work on the incident, collecting details and information.
