Kevin Carter Identified as Motorcyclist Killed in Lakeside Crash

LAKESIDE, CA (April 21, 2022) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Kevin Carter as the motorcyclist who died in a crash involving an SUV in Lakeside. The April 17 crash occurred where Winter Gardens Boulevard and Sapota Drive intersect.

The time was roughly 3:40 p.m., authorities said.

According to reports, a vehicle–described only as an SUV–was in a northbound lane on Winter Gardens Boulevard and attempting to turn to the left to Sapota Drive. Reports say the driver had made a stop at the stop sign before beginning to turn.

The SUV collided with the motorcycle, which had been heading south.

Responders pronounced Carter deceased at the crash site. He was 36 years old.

The identity of the driver has not been reported.

Authorities are continuing their efforts on the crash.
