San Diego DUI Suspect Hits Teen On Electric Dirt Bike At Ocean Beach

14-Year-Old Injured in Electric Dirt Bike Accident in Ocean Beach Area

San Diego, CA (December 14, 2023) – A 14-year-old boy sustained injuries in a DUI-related electric dirt bike accident on Ebers Street near Point Loma Boulevard, as reported by the San Diego Police Department.

Teen Hospitalized in DUI Electric Dirt Bike Crash on Ebers Street

The DUI crash occurred at approximately 7:53 p.m. on Tuesday.  That’s when a 47-year-old man, under the influence, made a left turn from Ebers Street.  He then collides with the teenage rider on his electric off-road dirt bike.

Initial findings from the investigation revealed that both the teen and the 2005 Land Rover entered the intersection simultaneously, resulting in a collision. The impact caused the Land Rover to drag the young rider several feet. Swiftly responding to the scene, paramedics provided emergency care and subsequently transported the injured boy to a nearby hospital for treatment of a fractured pelvis on the left and right side.

DUI Suspect Driving Land Rover Arrested After Hitting 14 Year Old On Electric Bike

Law enforcement took immediate action, arresting the Land Rover driver on suspicion of DUI.
