Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Accident on Christmas Eve

VALLEJO, CA (December 24, 2024) — A motorcyclist was tragically killed in a collision late Tuesday evening, December 24, at the intersection of Marin Street and Florida Street in Vallejo.

The Vallejo Police Department reported that the accident occurred around 11:21 p.m. when a motorcycle and a pickup truck, both traveling in opposite directions on Marin Street, collided. The pickup truck attempted to make a left turn but failed to yield to the oncoming motorcycle, resulting in a collision with the truck bed.

The Motorcycle Rider Died At A Nearby Hospital

First responders transported the motorcyclist, who had sustained life-threatening injuries, to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the rider was pronounced dead. But unfortunately, the Solano County Sheriff’s Coroner has not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Also, investigators have ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
