Boy on Bicycle is Struck and Killed on Bryce Canyon Way in San Jacinto

SAN JACINTO, CA (January 6, 2022) – Late in the morning on Wednesday in San Jacinto, a vehicle struck and killed a boy who was riding a bicycle. The January 5 crash occurred on Bryce Canyon Way in the 400 block, near the Ramona Expressway.
The time was roughly 11:30 a.m., the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
A vehicle–described as a Dodge Ram pickup truck that was towing a trailer–had been heading west on Bryce Canyon Way. The pickup struck the boy on the bicycle, according to Dawn Blair. Blair is a sergeant with the Sheriff’s Department.
Responders arrived and pronounced the boy deceased at the crash site. The boy’s identity has not been reported.
The driver stopped and remained at the crash site, and cooperated with the investigation. The driver has not been identified.
Investigators are working to understand the crash. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can call the San Jacinto station of the Sheriff’s Department.
