Jabali Ibrahim Mani Jacks Killed in Lebec Crash on I-5

LEBEC, CA (October 13, 2022) – The motorcyclist who was killed on Sunday in a crash in Lebec was identified by the Kern County coroner’s office as Jabali Ibrahim Mani Jacks. The October 9 crash occurred on I-5 on the northbound side of the freeway, near Lebec Service Road and to the south of it.

The time was roughly 4:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

According to authorities, Jacks struck the back end of a semi truck on the freeway.

Responders pronounced Jacks deceased at the crash site.

He was a resident of San Leandro, 32 years old.

Responders transported a passenger who had been traveling on the motorcycle to Kern Medical.

The patient suffered injuries that were described as major.

The identity of the person–including name, age, gender, and city of residence–has not been reported.

The driver of the semi truck has not been identified in reports.

In order to understand why the crash happened, investigators are continuing their work to collect information and details.
