Los Angeles Bicyclist Killed in Griffith Park Hit-and-run Crash

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 18, 2022) – Late in the afternoon on Saturday in Los Angeles, a bicyclist who was riding in Griffith Park was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash. The April 16 crash occurred on Crystal Springs Drive in the 4400 block.

The time was roughly 3:50 p.m., Officer Orris said. Orris with with the Los Angeles Police Department.

No details have been reported on how the crash occurred. Responders arrived and found the bicyclist was killed in the crash.

The identity of the victim–including name, age, gender, and city of residence–has not been reported.

The person who was driving the vehicle–which has not been described–ran away from the crash site. Offices found the suspect, and took the person into custody.

The identity of the suspect hit-and-run driver has not been reported.

Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
