Man on Scooter Struck and Trapped beneath Car in Los Angeles University Park Crash

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 8, 2022) – Early in the evening on Sunday in Los Angeles, a man who was on a scooter was struck and trapped beneath a car. The March 6 crash occurred on West 28th Street in the 500 block, in the area of University Park.

The time was roughly a little after 6:00 p.m., according to Nicholas Prange. Prange is with the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to reports, the man on the scooter and a vehicle–which has not been described–collided. The crash trapped the man beneath the car.

Responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department worked to free the man before they transported him to a hospital in the area.

The types of injuries he suffered, and his current condition, are not known.

His identity has not been reported.

The identity of the driver involved in the crash is also not known from reports.

Investigators are working to understand the crash.
