Motorcyclist Killed 2 Car after Collision in North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas, NV (February 24, 2019) – The Clark County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a motorcyclist that died in the medical care following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision that occurred near a busy intersection in North Las Vegas Sunday evening, February 24th. The motorcyclist was identified as 50-year old Jose Gonzalez a long time Las Vegas resident.

According to North Las Vegas Police Officer Leavitt, the collision occurred just after 7:00 P.M. when officers responded to a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Belmont Street. First respondents arrived and transported Gonzalez to University Medical Center by ambulance. He was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries and shortly after arriving was pronounced dead by medical staff. The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. Officials have stated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision. This is the 2nd fatal collision in North Las Vegas since the beginning of 2019.
