Oxnard Motorcycle Crash involving Car Kills Rider on Pleasant Valley Road

OXNARD, CA (November 2, 2022) – Early in the afternoon on Tuesday in Oxnard, a car collided with a motorcycle, killing the rider. The November 1 crash occurred on Pleasant Valley Road where Terrace Avenue is located.

The time was roughly 1:30 p.m., Oxnard Police said.

A vehicle–described as a Honda Accord–was traveling on Pleasant Valley Road and heading east, reports say. The Honda’s driver made a turn to the left to Terrace Avenue, authorities allege, and collided with a motorcycle that had been traveling west on Pleasant Valley Road.

Responders transported the motorcyclist to VCMC. He died in the hospital.

The man’s name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.

Police arrested the Honda’s driver on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and second degree murder, according to reports.

The driver was identified only as 31 years old. His name and city of residence are not known from reports.

Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
