Somis Motorcycle Crash on Highway 118 Kills Rider

SOMIS, CA (November 18, 2021) – A crash early in the morning on Wednesday in Somis killed a motorcyclist. The November 17 crash occurred on Highway 118, close to Somis Road and to the east of it.

The time was roughly 6:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

A vehicle–which has not been described–and the motorcycle collided. The line of travel of each vehicle prior to colliding is not yet known.

Responders arrived to help, but the motorcyclist died at the crash site. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.

The driver of the other vehicle has also not been identified. It is not known if the person was hurt in the crash.

Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened. They are currently gathering information and details.
