Teen Boy Riding Bike is Killed in Riverside Hit-and-run Crash

RIVERSIDE, CA (March 3, 2022) – On Tuesday night in Riverside, a teen boy died in a bicycle crash when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The March 1 crash occurred on Main Street in the 2200 block.

The time was roughly a little before 9:30 p.m., Ryan Railsback said. Railsback is an officer with Riverside Police.

The teen was heading north on a bike on Main Street, and a vehicle–described as a full-size pickup truck, black in color–hit him.

The driver did not help the victim, but fled the crash site.

Responders arrived to help, but the boy died at the scene of the crash.

He was 15 years old. His name has not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver, who has not been described, and the pickup truck. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can contact Riverside Police.
