Andrew Davidson Dies In Off Duty Motorcycle Accident

Riverside, CA (April 26, 2023) – Andrew Davidson, a 23-year-old Riverside County Sheriff‘s deputy, was killed in an off-duty motorcycle accident on April 24. The tragic incident occurred around 8:39 a.m. at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Garfield Street in Riverside.

Davidson was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Camry at the intersection. As a result of the impact, he was thrown off his motorcycle, which then caught fire. Witnesses were able to quickly put out the fire.

First responders arrived and transported Davidson to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite their best efforts, he passed away shortly after. Paramedics transported the 66-year-old Riverside man, who was driving the Camry, to a different local hospital after he reported experiencing pain.

Davidson had been a deputy for the County Sheriff’s Department since March 2022 and was assigned to the Perris Station. The department is mourning his loss and offering support to his family during this difficult time.
