Carson Crash involving Semi Truck and LAPD Motorcycle Injures Officer

CARSON, CA (April 27, 2022) – Early in the morning on Tuesday in Carson, a crash involving a semi truck and a Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle injured an officer. The April 26 crash occurred where East Albertoni Street and Avalon Boulevard intersect.

The time was roughly 6:00 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.

No details have yet been reported on how the crash occurred, nor the line of travel of each vehicle prior to the collision.

Responders transported the officer to the hospital. The types of injuries the officer suffered, and the patient’s current condition, are not known.

The officer has not been identified in reports.

It is also not known if the truck driver was hurt in the crash. The truck driver’s identity has not been reported.

Investigators are working on the crash, continuing to collect information and details.
