Fatal Bicycle Accident On Jensen Avenue Leaves Fresno Man Dead

FRESNO, CA (April 26, 2025) — 47-year-old Earnest Walker Sr, a bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night in Fresno has been identified, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.

The fatal crash occurred just after 11 p.m. on Jensen Avenue near the Highway 41 on-ramp. When emergency responders arrived, they found Walker down in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Driver Involved In Earnest Walker Sr’s Death Cooperated With Authorities

The vehicle involved in the collision was later located at the intersection of Jensen and Cherry avenues. Investigators said the driver remained at the scene, cooperated with law enforcement, and showed no signs of impairment from drugs or alcohol.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the incident involved a hit-and-run or if the driver stopped at a distance from the crash site.

The Fresno Police Department is continuing its investigation into the deadly incident.
