Motorcycle Collision on Paradise Valley Road in Bay Terraces Area

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 23, 2024)  — The San Diego Police Department reported that a car collided with a motorcyclist at the intersection of Paradise Valley Road and Briarwood Road on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the motorcyclist being hospitalized.

The accident occurred around 3:40 p.m. when a 63-year-old woman driving a westbound 2015 Toyota Prius entered the intersection and collided with a 60-year-old motorcyclist. Reports indicate that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound and had turned left from a designated left-turn lane onto northbound Briarwood Road when the crash occurred. Therefore, the force of the collision caused the man to drop his motorcycle and slide into the woman’s vehicle.

Paramedics Transported The Motorcycle Rider To A Nearby Hospital

Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. Also, doctors treated him for serious injuries, including facial fractures and a brain bleed.

Authorities have ruled out alcohol as a factor in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
