Accident on Ted Williams Parkway Leaves Bicycle Rider Dead

San Diego, CA (July 17, 2024) – A tragic bicycle accident claimed the life of a man on Ted Williams Parkway near the 5 Freeway on Wednesday morning. Also, the incident occurred around 9:25 a.m. when a 33-year-old San Diego man, driving a Dodge Ram pickup, struck a bicyclist under circumstances that authorities are still investigating.

Emergency Responders Arrived Quickly But The Bicycle Rider Died At The Scene

Paramedics arrived swiftly at the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. But unfortunately, the identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of family members.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. However, it is not yet known if DUI played a role in the accident, as a toxicology report is pending.
