Motorcycle Rider Dies after Crash with Car on Highway 113 in Solano County

A Solano County motorcyclist was killed on the evening of March 26th.  The fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 113 in the outskirts of Solano County, resulting in the death of the motorcycle rider.

At approximately 8:51 p.m. on March 26th, a deadly collision occurred at the intersection of Binghamton Road and Highway 113 in the outskirts of Solano County. The California Highway Patrol reports that a Toyota Corolla and a motorcycle collided under unclear circumstances, resulting in the accident.

Tragically, the motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries in the collision and passed away at the scene.

To respect the deceased’s family, the coroner’s office has refrained from releasing the victim’s identity until their next of kin have been notified.

Fortunately, the driver of the Corolla was not injured in the accident.

California Highway Patrol Solano County officials are continuing their investigation into the precise cause of the crash and the contributing factors involved.

On behalf of our team, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time.

What is the Best Way To Avoid a Motorcycle Accident?

There are several common factors that contribute to motorcycle accidents, including:

  1. Inexperience: Motorcyclists who are inexperienced or who have not had proper training are more likely to be involved in accidents.
  2. Speeding: Excessive speed is a major factor in many motorcycle accidents, as it reduces a rider’s ability to react to hazards and increases the risk of losing control.
  3. Alcohol and drug use: Operating a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can impair a rider’s judgment, reaction time, and overall ability to operate the vehicle safely.
  4. Lane splitting: Lane splitting, or riding between lanes of stopped or slow-moving traffic, is illegal in most states and can be dangerous, as it puts the motorcycle at risk of being struck by other vehicles.
  5. Road hazards: Potholes, gravel, and other road hazards can be especially dangerous for motorcyclists, as they can cause the rider to lose control of the bike.
  6. Distracted driving: Distracted driving, such as texting or talking on the phone while riding, can lead to accidents as it takes the rider’s attention away from the road.
  7. Poor weather conditions: Wet or slippery roads, low visibility, and other adverse weather conditions can make it more difficult for motorcyclists to control their bikes and can increase the risk of accidents.
