Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a wrong-way crash that left 4 people dead following a head-on collision on the 210 Freeway in the Lake View Terrace area in the San Fernando Valley early Sunday morning, Dec. 17th. The fatal collision occurred about 1:45 a.m. after California Highway Patrol dispatchers received calls of a wrong-way driver in the eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway in Lake View Terrace After CHP units had responded in search of the wrong-way driver, they started receiving reports of the collision at about 1:52 a.m. stating that the wrong-way driver collided head-on into another vehicle near Wheatland Avenue on the 210 Freeway. A 30-year old Chatsworth man, whom authorities believe was driving the wrong-way vehicle, a 2011 Chevy Impala, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

A Bell Gardens officer has been hospitalized in unknown condition after he was involved in a 2-vehicle collision in Montebello Friday morning, Nov. 10th. The incident occurred when paramedics were summoned to respond to an officer-involved collision between a motorcycle officer and a Toyota Corolla just after 7 a.m. to the area of Greenwood Avenue and Oakwood Street in Montebello. The officer was traveling southbound on Greenwood Avenue when the driver of the Toyota Corolla pulled out of an alley and crossed lanes in front of the officer. The officer struck the Toyota on the driver’s side, was ejected over the front of the vehicle and landed on the street.

Police in Orange are on the hunt for the hit-and-run driver responsible for the death of a 25-year old U.S. Marine Corps veteran from Oklahoma who was struck and killed by a car at a gas station in Orange early Friday morning. Orange County Coroner’s Office identified the 25-year old man Sunday morning as Dylan Moran of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The fatal hit and run occurred at about 1:00 a.m. when Moran, who was walking, was struck by a dark-colored 2-door vehicle at a Valero gas station in the 2200 block of W. Chapman Avenue, Orange, according to authorities. Firefighters were among the first to respond and arrived on scene to find Moran unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Orange police said the dark-colored vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash. The suspect’s vehicle is described as possibly an older model Chevrolet Camaro and police said a white, mid-sized SUV, possibly an Acura, may have also been involved.

A motorcyclist has been identified after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 between Tropicana Avenue and Russell Road Monday morning, Oct. 10th. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. when Fernando Ramos, 27- years old of Las Vegas, was traveling on an access road that runs parallel to the northbound lanes of the I-15 on his Kawasaki motorcycle when he entered a painted gore at the Russell Road off-ramp. Ramos tried to avoid hitting the impact attenuator, also known as a “crash cushion”, by heavily braking.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that left a motorcyclist and a motorist dead in the South Valley Tuesday evening, Sept. 26th. The incident occurred shortly after 8:20 p.m. when LVMPD officers were summoned to the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Paradise Bay Drive, near Eastern Avenue following a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle that had caught fire with heavy flames visible at the scene, police said. Evidence at the scene and witness testimonies indicated the motorcycle was traveling west on Warm Springs at a high rate of speed. A Honda Civic was exiting a residential area on South Paradise Bay Drive, turning left onto Warm Springs from a stop sign when the Honda drove in front of motorcycle. The motorcycle and Honda collided, and both the motorcyclist and driver of the Honda were pronounced dead by first responders.
