San Diego, CA (July 17, 2024)  – A severe motorcycle accident occurred on the 805 Freeway near University Avenue early Wednesday morning, resulting in major injuries for one individual.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident took place around 6:00 a.m. when a motorcyclist collided with a Chevrolet Silverado. The impact caused the rider to lose control, subsequently crashing into a Toyota van.

First Responders Transported The Motorcycle Rider To A Nearby Hospital

Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene minutes later and transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. The extent of the injuries was described as major, though no other individuals involved in the crash were harmed.

CHP officers conducted interviews with all parties involved but have yet to release any conclusions regarding the cause of the accident. Factors such as speeding, driving under the influence (DUI), or distracted driving have not been ruled out.
